It is difficult to access Jefferson Lake Recreation Area during the winter months. The roads to this site are not maintained for snow throughout the winter.

The Interagency Senior Pass and the Interagency Access Pass qualify for a 50% discount at concessionaire run sites. The discount only applies to the fee for the site physically occupied by the pass owner, not to any additional site(s) or vehicles occupied by members of the pass owner's party.
Jefferson Lake is closed to motorized boat traffic. Day use only - no camping in the picnic area.
There is a fee to enter the Jefferson Lake Recreation Area. $11 day use fee.
Dogs must be on a leash at all times.

Directions
From US Highway 285 at Jefferson, take County Road 35 north to County Road 37 and turn right. Pay the user fee at Jefferson Lake Recreation Area entrance station and continue on the road to the picnic area.
