Little Scraggy Trailhead

The Little Scraggy Trailhead is located at the beginning of Forest System Road 550 in the eastern portion of the Buffalo Creek Recreation Area and is the beginning point for Segment 3 of the Colorado Trail (#1776). This trailhead also provides access to the Little Scraggy Trail (#765) and other nearby trail segments.

No campfires, pedestal grill available.

The Interagency Senior Pass and the Interagency Access Pass qualifies for a 50% discount with proper ID for the card holder’s vehicle only.

Day Use:
$7 per vehicle per day

$11 fee for day use. Fees are payable by check or money order. 

Dogs must be on a leash at all times.

Directions

From U.S. Highway 285 turn south at Pine Junction on to Jefferson County Road 126. Follow Jefferson County Route 126 to Forest System Road 550 approximately 13.5 miles south. Turn west on Forest System Road 550. The Little Scraggy Trailhead is on the right at this start of this road.
