Promontory Picnic Area

Located in the Rampart Reservoir Recreation Area. There are 34 picnic sites, four accessible vault toilets, fire grates, water hydrants and trash service.

All dates are weather dependent. Dates of operation below are dates visitors may expect full service.

General Information

early May through middle of October, weather permitting.

There is no overnight use at this site. Horses are not permitted on trails. Swimming, wading, and all body contact with the water in the reservoir is prohibited. Coast guard approved life jackets are required for every person onboard every watercraft, including kayaks, paddleboards and canoes.

There is a $10.00 day-use fee.
