South Meadows Campground

This campground is located approximately 5 miles north of Woodland Park. There are paved roads within the campground connecting the 64 sites. Each site has a fire ring and picnic table. This campground is adjacent to the Centennial Trail, a paved trail between Manitou Lake and the town of Woodland Park.

Reservations are recommended between Memorial Day and Labor Day. During peak season, this campground is a full-service campground. Pre-season and extended season have reduced service; amenities such as water, trash or a host may not be available.

This is a standard, nonelectric campground.

Current Conditions
The campground is open early May to late October. Full service is available from Memorial Day week to mid-September.

America the Beautiful Senior or Access Pass cardholders may receive a 50% discount off the camping fee only. The discount only applies to the fee for the campsite physically occupied by the pass owner, not to any additional campsite(s) occupied by members of the pass owner's party.

The following restrictions apply to this campground:

  • Dogs must be leashed at all times.
  • No discharge of firearms or fireworks is allowed.
  • Only licensed vehicles can operate inside the campground.
  • Camping is not allowed behind a locked gate.

$28 fee per site for overnight camping. Two vehicles or one recreational vehicle (RV) per site is included in the camping fee. $11 fee for a third vehicle.

$11 fee for day use if not camping overnight.

Fees are payable by cash, check or money order. A self-service fee tube is available.

First-come, first-served sites must be occupied the same night.

Dogs must be leashed at all times.

Directions

From Colorado Springs, travel west on Highway 24 for approximately 25 miles to Woodland Park. From Woodland Park, travel 5 miles north on Highway 67 to the South Meadows Campground.

Parking

There is a parking lot for the 4.2-mile long asphalt-paved Centennial Trail, which connects all campgrounds along Highway 67 with Manitou Lake. Parking areas are up to 30 feet long.
