Horsethief Park to Pancake Rocks

This trail passes through the old Horsethief Park area and continues to the north to eventually intersect with Forest Service Road 383. In the winter months, this is a very popular Cross Country ski and snowshoe trail.

General Information

Camping is permitted along the trail and is recommended 300’ from any trail or stream. Use no-impact camping techniques. Pack it in/Pack it out rule applies. Campfire permits are not required but please be sure your fire is dead out before you leave. Respect other trail users.

Year-round

Drinking water is not readily available. Water from streams should be treated before use.

Motorized vehicles are prohibited.

Limited parking is available at the trailhead. 

Directions

From Colorado Springs, take Hwy 24 through Woodland Park, to Divide. Turn south on Hwy 67. Drive 8 miles until you come to a parking area on the left side of Hwy 67 (next to an old closed tunnel). This is where the trail begins.
