The Salt Canyon trail is 4.8 miles long. It begins at Forest Trail 831 and ends at Forest Trail 830. The trail is open for the following uses: Mtn Biking, Foot and Horse Travel

Directions
From the town of South Fork, travel 2.5 miles west on US Hwy 160. On your right side or the North side of 160 there is a parking lot for the Trout Creek Trailhead. Park here and take the Trout Creek trail for 2 miles over a ridge to Trout Creek Itself. As you approach the creek look for the Salt Canyon Trail off to the north. The trail skirts Private Property as it heads north.
