National Trails Day® on the first Saturday in June recognizes the incredible benefits federal, state and local trails provide for recreation and exposure to nature. The day encourages people to discover local trails, become active in trail maintenance, and share excitement for the outdoors. National Trails Day promotes awareness of the wide variety of services the trails systems offer. It's also an opportunity to thank the many volunteers, land agencies, and trail developers for their help in developing and maintaining the trails. https://americanhiking.org/national-trails-day
