Kendrick Cabin
Kendrick Cabin is a retired U. S. Forest Service Fire Guard Station built in the 1960s. While it was in service, firefighters lived here during the fire season.
This rustic three-bedroom masonry and wood cabin is in the scenic Kendrick Park area. It has wonderful views of the San Francisco Peaks, Kendrick Mountain, and the surrounding forest. It is in an area that provides excellent hiking, mountain biking and scenic views.

General Information
The cabin is suitable for groups of up to 10 people. Larger group use of the cabin and grounds is possible with prior approval from the Forest Service.
Check out time is before 11:00 a.m. Check in time is after 2:00 p.m.
During Stage 2 Fire Restrictions, outdoor campfires are not permitted at this cabin. Abide by all posted fire restrictions.
Gas operated devices with an on/off switch are allowed.
$125.00 per night late May through early October. $75.00 per night when we turn the water off for the winter. Dates subject to change depending on the weather; closed during winter months and when the forest is closed due to extreme fire danger. You may cancel a reservation within 14 days of your scheduled arrival and pay a $10.00 service fee and forfeit the first night's fee. No-shows, early departures, or after the scheduled arrival date are NOT ENTITLED TO A REFUND. Cancellations for single night use will not be assessed a service fee but will forfeit the night's fee.
Dogs are allowed but must always remain outside and leashed. Please clean up after all animals.

Directions
Location: Kendrick Cabin is located approximately 22 miles north of Flagstaff, Arizona. The location is typically accessible year-round, however, it may not be accessible in deep snow.
All roads are suitable for a passenger vehicles except during winter months. The Grand Canyon is 58 miles from the cabin.

Directions: From Flagstaff: Follow signs directing you to U.S. Route 180 toward Grand Canyon. From Flagstaff, drive approximately 20 miles north on Fort Valley Road (Route 180) and look for the Watchable Wildlife Trail on the left and roadside chapel on the right. On U.S. Route 180, continue 0.7 miles past the chapel and turn right at the old store onto Forest Road 514. Go exactly one mile and turn left on FR 514B. You will see a sign “Road Closed, Forest Service Administrative Site” as soon as you turn left. The cabin is half a mile further at the end of this road.

Off-road vehicle users, recognize your role in protecting the wildlands surrounding Kendrick Cabin. Please tread lightly and stay on designated roads complying with regulations applicable to your vehicle.
Facility and Amenity Information
Accessibility
The cabin has an accessible ramp to the front porch with access to the main floor of the house and one bedroom. The bath house is accessible, however, the path from the house to the bathhouse is not.

Potable water is available at this site.
Running water is available late May to early October.

Picnic tables are available at this site.
Kendrick Cabin features a picnic table, an outdoor barbeque grill and a fire ring.
Other Amenities
An outside bath house with a flush toilet and shower is available approximately all months except early October through April.
The cabin's kitchen features a propane stove top and a small refrigerator. Kitchen supplies include pots, pans, utensils, dishes, coffee pot and a can opener.
There is solar lighting, however there are no electrical outlets.
A dining area/ living room combination features two queen size futons and a wood stove. Additional rooms feature one double bed downstairs, and four twin beds in two separate spaces upstairs.
