Cave Creek Nature #603

Access this easy trail from the Cave Creek Visitor Information Center, Silver Peak Parking Area, or Sunny Flat Campground. Spur trails connect to the road and other campgrounds. The trail winds 1.25 miles along Cave Creek and passes through oak-juniper and riparian woodland. Benches along the way offer places to sit and soak in the sights and sounds of the canyon. Excellent for birding.

Common trees along the trail include velvet ash, alligator juniper, oneseed juniper, Arizona sycamore, Mexican pinyon pine, Apache pine, Emory oak, Arizona walnut, and Arizona white oak.

Watch for poison ivy. If it has leaves of three, let it be!
