Hutches Pool via Sabino Canyon #23

This popular hike starts at Sabino Canyon Trail #23 (3.7 miles up the paved road not accessible to personal vehicles) and begins its ascent for 2.5 miles to West Fork #24. From here, the trail continues for the next 1.5 miles to a small, unmarked, right-hand side trail leading down to Hutches Pool. There are approximately five popular dispersed camping sites near the creek. Hutch's pool is a large swimming area that normally holds water year-round. There is a small sandy beach to lie out on after your swim. Visitors must practice Leave No Trace ethics when visiting this area. This trail is moderate to difficult, gaining over 1,181 feet, most of which is within the first mile of Sabino Canyon Trail #23.

Round trip or one-way tickets can be purchased for the Sabino Canyon Crawler for a fee for those looking to reduce the length of this hike.
