Please do not camp in trailhead parking areas. All stock feed brought onto the Gila National Forest must be certified weed free.

Directions

From Silver City, travel west on US Highway 180 25 miles to Bill Evans Road. Turn west (left) onto Bill Evans Road, continuing to its end at the Gila River Bird Area. Travel time from Silver City is approximately 1 hour.
