The 1.3-mile (one way) Gallo Peak Trail splits off of Top Tank Trail #5 and heads south to ascend the top of Gallo Peak. This trail is open to motorized vehicles 50 inches and narrower.

Limited parking roadside along Forest Road 4008J.

Directions

From Quemado, head west on US Highway 60 for approximately 1 mile and turn south onto NM Highway 32, continuing approximately 23 miles to Forest Road 4008J. Turn east onto the forest road and continue to the beginning of the trail at the end of the road.
