Motorized Trail #945

The 2.8-mile (one way) Motorized Trail #945 provides an alternate route for 50-inch or narrower off-highway vehicles from Sacaton Road to Rain Creek Trailhead. Trail #945 turns north off of Grant Count Road 2-1 just west of where the county road drops down to cross over Sacaton Creek. Trail #945 turns north, following Sacaton Creek upstream for about a half mile before crossing the drainage and beginning to climb east in switchbacks onto the toe-slope of Haystack Mountain, at Cherry Canyon. Upon reaching the bottom of steeper slopes, Trail #945 turns southeast, passing north of Sacaton Airstrip and ending at Rain Creek Trailhead.
