Jacob Lake Group Campground & Picnic Site

Jacob Lake Picnic Site is located in the Jacob Lake Group Campground, 44 miles north of the Grand Canyon. The Jacob Lake area offers excellent opportunities for hiking, sightseeing, and wildlife viewing.

The site is located 30 miles south and east of Fredonia at the intersection of US 89A and AZ 67.

Opens May 16, 2025. Generally open May through September for overnight camping, depending on weather.

Reservations

General Information

America the Beautiful passes are accepted for camping only, NOT for day-use fee areas.

For camping fees and reservations go to the www.recreation.gov or call at 877-444-6777.

Day Use Fees

Day Use, Single Vehicle (1 vehicle -per day):   $8.00
Annual Day Use Pass-per vehicle, annually:    $100.00 ($50 for local area residents for at least the 2025 operating season)

Discount Passes (such as America the Beautiful Senior and Access passes) do not apply to day use fees.
