In honor of Earth Day, the Upper Pecos Watershed Association (UPWA) is inviting community members to join a River and Road Cleanup event on Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM.
Volunteers will meet at the UPWA office to kick off a rewarding morning of stewardship, service, and community connection. This year’s cleanup is made possible in partnership with the Pecos Business Association, Santa Fe National Forest, Pecos Canyon State Park, Village of Pecos, Truchas Chapter, and New Mexico Wild, a united effort to protect the health and beauty of the Pecos watershed.
The event will begin with complimentary donuts and coffee at 9:30 AM, followed by check-in and gear distribution. Volunteers will receive trash grabbers, safety vests, and gloves, and will be assigned cleanup locations along NM50 or NM63.
