King's Wave Kayak Access

The King's Wave Kayak Access is a day use only highway turnout parking area with a trail leading down to the kayak surf wave called King's Wave. It is located off of Highway 89 south of Hoback Junction just past the Boy Scout Camp. The parking area is bordered by a fence and a small trail sign points visitors towards the access trail to the river. The trail itself begins as dirt and then reaches 3 sets of wooden stairs that lead to the river’s edge. No facilities are located on site. Parking area is large enough for trailer turnaround. No cellular service is available, although it does begin close by in Hoback Junction. Driving time from Jackson is approximately 20 minutes.
