Cloverleaf Campground

Cloverleaf Campground is situated along the banks of St. Charles Creek, about eight miles west of St. Charles, Idaho. Nestled in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest, the campground sits at an elevation of approximately 6,200 feet, accessible via a paved road off U.S. Highway 89. 

Natural Features: The gentle St. Charles Creek is framed by a mix of pine and aspen trees, providing ample shade in the summer and vibrant wildflower displays in season, all set against the dramatic backdrop of a forested canyon.

Numerous hiking, biking, and horse trails, including the nearby North Fork and Highline Trail, weave through the area, offering excellent opportunities to explore the stunning southeast Idaho high country.

Facilities: The campground offers 18 single-family sites and one group site for up to 100 people, each equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings. Roads and parking areas are paved or well-maintained gravel. A host may be present at a nearby campground for assistance.

Cloverleaf Campground is located in pretty St. Charles Canyon at an elevation of 6,900 feet, with St. Charles Creek running alongside the site. It is approximately eight miles from Highway 89 and is close to Bear Lake State Park and North Beach. Pines and aspens forest the area, providing partial shade, and summer wildflowers dot the area. St. Charles Creek has good cutthroat trout fishing, and beautiful Bear Lake is nearby, with boating, waterskiing, fishing, swimming, and sightseeing.
