Big Dave Creek Trailhead is in the Hazard Lakes Area on the New Meadows Ranger District, and provides access to the Lava Ridge National Recreation Trail #149.

Directions
From Big Hazard Lake, travel north on Goose Lake Road #257, then turn right on FS Road #308. Follow FS Road #308 for less than a mile, taking the first road on your left which will bring you to the Big Dave Creek Trailhead on the north side of the road. Lava Ridge National Recreation Trail #149 leaves from FS Road #308 just beyond Big Dave Creek Trailhead. There is a pullout with additional parking on the south side of the road near the entrance to the trail.
