Cub Creek Trail #362

The Cub Creek Trail is a short trail located near the Rapid River Corridor. The trail links the Rapid River Trail #177 to the junction of the Trail #228 and Lost Basin Trail #517. The trail is open to the following uses: Hiking, Horseback Riding, Motorcycle Trail Riding

Directions: Travel north from Council on the Council-Cuprum Road (FSR #002), 13.5 miles past the Hornet Guard Station. Continue past the guard station for 15 miles to the town of Bear. Turn onto FSR #105 and continue 4 miles to the Bear Guard Station. Turn right onto Black Lake Road (FSR #112) 2 miles beyond the guard station. Continue 1/2 miles past Smith Mountain Lookout (4WD is recommended). Lost Basin Trail #517 is on the east side of the road. Take this trail east for 3 miles to the trailhead.
