Grass Mountain Trail #163

After leaving Forest Road #257 the Grass Mountain Trail provides a leisurely two mile hike to Grass Mountain Lakes. The route travels through the Corral Fire of 1994. Spur trails provide access to Coffee Cup Lake, Frog Lake, and Morgan Lake. These lakes offer quality fishing opportunities. East of the Coffee Cup Lake Trail #509 the route is open to two-wheel motorized use. West of this intersection the trail is open to vehicles 50" or less in width.

Directions

East Trailhead - From McCall, travel five miles north on Hwy 55 to Goose Lake Road/Forest Road #257. Turn right and go 16 miles north, past Goose Lake approximately six miles. Watch for the trailhead on the left.

West Trailhead - From New Meadows, travel north on Hwy 95 for 14.5 miles to Hazard Creek Road/Forest Road #287. Travel east and bear right at the fork onto Forest Road #250. The trailhead is located approximately 1/2 mile on the left.
