Wildhorse Campground
The Wildhorse campground has 13 sites in a heavily wooded setting. There are two handpumps that provide water in the summer months, and two accessible vault toilets. Nearby areas of interest include Boulder Creek Lake, Waterfall Trail, and the head of Wildhorse canyon.

The following passes are good for 50% reduction in camping fees: SENIOR PASS – Available for $80.00 Lifetime or $20.00 Annual to US Citizens 62 years and older. Must be purchased in person with proof of age such as driver’s license. ACCESS PASS – Available FREE of charge to US citizens that have been medically determined to have a permanent disability that severely limits one or more major life activities. Must be maintained in person with written proof of disability.

Single Site: $10/night.
Interagency Senior/Access Recreation Passes provide a 50% discount to Single Campsites ONLY.

From Mackay: Take US Highway 93 approximately 16 miles north of Mackay to the Trail Creek Road. Turn left on the Trail Creek Road (#208). Follow this road 18 miles to the Copper Basin Road then turn left on the Copper Basin Road (#135). Follow this road 2 miles to the Wildhorse Creek Road. Stay to the right on the Wildhorse Creek Road. Follow the Wildhorse Creek Road 5.5 miles to the campground. From Challis: Take US Highway 93 south of Challis to the Trail Creek Road. Turn right on the Trail creek Road. Follow this road 18 miles to the Copper Basin Road. Turn left on the Copper Basin Road. Follow this road 2 miles to the Wildhorse Creek Road. Stay to the right on the Wildhorse Creek Road. Follow the Wildhorse Creek Road 5.5 miles to the campground. From Sun Valley/Ketchum: Take Highway 75 (main street) to Sun Valley Road. Turn northeast onto the Sun Valley Road. This road turns into Trail Creek Road. Follow this road to the Copper Basin road. Turn right on the Copper Basin Road. Follow this road 2 miles to the Wildhorse Creek Road. Stay to the right on the Wildhorse Creek Road. Follow the Wildhorse Creek Road 5.5 miles to the campground.
