South Fork Ogden River

The South Fork of the Ogden River is one of the three major branches of the Ogden River (North Fork, Middle Fork, and South Fork).  All ending at Pineview Reservoir which drains into Ogden Canyon.

Popular local recreation activities include fishing, hiking, swimming and tubing down the South Fork Ogden River (a life jacket is required for all tubers). 

Causey Reservoir, a scenic mountain reservoir, is a few miles east.

Directions

South Fork Recreation complex is located 5 to 7 miles east of Huntsville, Utah, on Highway 39. From I-15, take the 12th Street exit and continue through Ogden Canyon. Continue on Highway 39 toward Monte Cristo.

South Fork Complex has 7 campgrounds along the South Fork of the Ogden River. The campgrounds are Magpie, Botts, South Fork, Perception Park, Upper and Lower Meadows, and Willows in order from west to east.
