Caples Creek Trail

The Caples Creek Trail is a moderate 4-mile round trip hike through red fir forest and wet meadows with views of cascading Caples Creek and the Silver Fork of the American River. There are nice wildflower displays along the trail in the early summer.

Trailhead/Starting Points

Caples Creek Trailhead and Caples Creek Equestrian Trailhead

Directions

From U.S. 50 east, turn south on Silver Fork Road and drive 10 miles to the Caples Creek trailhead on the left.

The equestrian trailhead is an additional 0.2 miles south on Silver Fork Road on the west side off 10N94.
