Big Meadow Campground

This small 11 unit campground is sited along Rock Creek affording wonderful scenery, fishing and a peaceful setting.

No reservations, register at campground.

General Information

Approximate operating season: May 9 - October 12, 2025

Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

The America the Beautiful Access and Senior Passes are honored here for 1/2 price camping.

Maximum stay 14 days. Active bear area. All food must be secured overnight and when not attended; bear boxes are provided and must be used (typical bear box size 48" x 30" x 36"). Always keep a clean camp and do not feed wildlife.

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $35 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $10 per vehicle per night

Dogs must be leashed in all developed recreation sites.

Directions

From Bishop go north on Hwy 395 approximately 23 miles (or South from Mammoth Lakes 10 miles) to Toms Place.  Turn west on Rock Creek Road approximately 5 miles. Big Meadow Campground will be on your right about 1/2 mile past Iris Meadow Campground.

Parking is limited.  See the camp host or instructions on the bulletin board for parking additional vehicles.
