Lake George Campground

Mammoth Lakes Basin is located through town, just 5 to 10 minutes drive. The campground is located a short walk from the shore of Lake George. 15 Campsites.

General Information

Traveling in Bear Country

Historically, there has been a high level of bear activity at Lake George Campground. A bear-proof locker is located at each site at Lake George Campground. All food and scented items must be stored in the lockers. All trash must be disposed of in the bear proof trash receptacles. Do not store food, trash or scented items in your vehicle.

Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

Active bear area, bear boxes are provided and must be used (typical bear box size 48" x 30" x 36").

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $34 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $10 per vehicle per night

Dogs must be leashed in all developed recreation sites.

Directions

Take US 395 to State Highway 203. Head west to and through the town of Mammoth Lakes. Hwy 203 becomes Main Street, and then becomes Lake Mary Road which will lead to the Lakes Basin. Past the 1st lake take the 3rd left. Over the bridge take a right and drive up the hill to Lake George and the campground.
