Gable Lakes Trail
Rich in mining history, the Gable Lakes trail starts deep in Pine Creek Canyon behind Mt Tom and climbs up past sites where miners would ride to the work in oar buckets. Visitors should remember that the Antiquities Act protects all artifacts from being damaged or removed. Gable Lakes is four miles up this primitive rocky, steep and exposed trail (not recommended for stock). Gable Lakes are fishless.
