Tuff Campground

This campground has 34 campsites and is located just east of the Highway 395/ Rock Creek (Tom's Place) junction. It is frequently one of the first campgrounds to open in the Rock Creek area each spring.

General Information

Late spring through early autumn.

Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

America the Beautiful Senior and Access Passes are accepted for half priced camping. Follow the instructions on the bulletin board at the campground.

Maximum stay 14 days. Active bear area. All food must be secured overnight and when not attended; bear boxes are provided and must be used (typical bear box size 48" x 30" x 36").  Always keep a clean camp and do not feed wildlife.

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $33 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $10 per vehicle per night

Dogs must be leashed in all developed recreation sites.

Directions

From Mammoth Lakes go south on US 395 for approximately 13 miles. Take the Tom's Place exit to the east and follow signs to the campground.  From Bishop go north on US 395 for about 24 miles. Take the Tom's Place exit to the east and follow signs to the campground.
