SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif., August 5, 2025 - It’s time to put on the ritz again! The 38th Annual Great Gatsby Festival will take place on national forest lands August 9-10, 2025, at the Tallac Historic Site and the Pope and Baldwin estates on Highway 89 near South Lake Tahoe. Saturday, the event is from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. and on Sunday 10 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

The Great Gatsby Festival began in the mid-1980s as a celebration of all things Roaring Twenties, from Art Deco design to classic cars. Over the years, the festival has brought thousands of revelers together in the shared appreciation of the bygone era.

This year’s Great Gatsby Festival welcomes vintage vendors, live jazz and ukulele performances, classic lawn games and automobiles, living history actors and much more!

While general admission is free, tickets to the iconic Tea and Fashion Show are $68 per person and it will be held at the Pope House on Sunday, August 10, from 2 to 4 p.m. For a complete schedule of events and parking information, visit the 2025 Great Gatsby Festival webpage.

The Great Gatsby Festival is hosted by the interpretive association for the Pope and Baldwin Estates, The Great Basin Institute, in partnership with the USDA Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit.
