Baldwin Beach
Baldwin Beach is located on National Forest lands approximately five miles northwest of the City of South Lake Tahoe on Highway 89. The beach is operated under a special use permit by Tahoe Recreation, a division of Vista Recreation. Restrooms and some picnic tables are available.
Campfires (wood, charcoal or any other solid fuels) are not permitted. Portable stoves that have an on/off switch or valve are allowed with a valid permit.

Restrooms are available when the beach is open.

Day use only; no overnight camping allowed
Season passes are available for purchase at the kiosk.
- Baldwin Beach is typically open beginning in mid-May through mid-October.
- No pets are allowed.
- Campfires (wood, charcoal or any other solid fuels) are not permitted.
- When the beach is closed, no trash service is available. Practice “Leave no Trace” principles by packing out all of your own trash.
- No camping is permitted.
Day Use:
$10 per vehicle per day
Due to public health and safety restrictions, pets are not allowed in designated swim areas such as Baldwin Beach.

Baldwin Beach is located on the lake side of Highway 89 across from Mt. Tallac Road.
From Tahoe City: Take Highway 89 south around Emerald Bay.
From South Lake Tahoe: Take Highway 89 north.
