The campgrounds are a short walk from Lake Tahoe with over 200 tent sites in two locations nestled under towering pine trees. Badger's Den Campground, located on the lake side of Highway 89 and Eagle's Nest across the street offer tent options for the summer visitor. There is also an RV campground (unpaved parking) with some water and electrical hookups. For those looking for traditional lodging, cabins and hotel rooms are available along with the Richardson House for larger groups.
Enjoy Camp Richardson's full amenities including ice cream parlor, general store, lakeside restaurant, mountain sports center and watercraft rentals all within walking distance. Enjoy the exquisite nature that Lake Tahoe has to offer, just steps from the conveniences of a full resort. Campfires (wood, charcoal or any other solid fuels) are allowed only within permanent iron fire rings when the campgrounds are open. Getting There
Directions
Camp Richardson Resort is located on the south shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe on Highway 89 (Emerald Bay Road).
From Sacramento: Take U.S. Highway 50 to South Lake Tahoe and proceed north west past the intersection of U.S. Highway 50 and Highway 89 (the "Y"). Look for the Camp Richardson Resort sign on the right side.
From North Shore (I-80, Reno, Truckee): Take Interstate 80 east to Highway 89, then head south to the south end of Lake Tahoe.
