Meeks Bay Campground and Resort
Meeks Bay Resort is located on the west shore of beautiful Lake Tahoe approximately 10 miles south of Tahoe City and eight miles north of Emerald Bay. The resort is located on National Forest lands and is operated under a special use permit by the Washoe Tribe of California and Nevada.
Whether you elect to play in the sun, enjoy water sports, hike mountain trails or just be alone the comfortable lake front lodging, the modern campsites welcome you for a fun day, restful evening and sound sleep. Day guests are invited to sunbathe on white sand beaches, barbecue their catch and play in Lake Tahoe waters. The visitor's center has a snack bar, conference and meeting rooms and a gift shop. Whether on a day trip, a weekend excursion or an extended vacation, Meeks Bay offers the best relaxation and recreation that Lake Tahoe has to offer.
General Information
Summers are typically warm and dry, though nighttime temperatures can be cold and afternoon thundershowers often build over the mountains. Snow is possible during any month of the year. Be prepared for changeable weather and bring clothing that will keep you warm and dry.
