Manzana Trailhead EAST (Upper) Nira
The East Trail (31W13.2) follows the Mazana canyon east to the narrows, then climbs over the Hurricane Deck at White Ledge to end at South Fork Guard Station on the Sisquoc River. Access the trail from Nira Campground via Sunset Valley Road. Trail distance is 13.8 miles.
MANZANA - A Spanish word for little apples. In the Manzana area it possibly refers to the large number of Manzanita bushes that grow along parts of the creek.

General Information
No fishing allowed in the Davy Brown Creek or tributarities of the Sisquoc River.
Wilderness/backcountry permits are not issued. To obtain a CA Campfire Permit, go to www.readyforwildfire.com.

The Nira-Upper Manzana Creek Trailhead is managed by the Parks Management Company for the Forest Service. $10 per vehicle per day to park at the trailhead. Parking outside of the Nira Campground is free. No Adventure Pass.
