Green Valley Lake
The lake was artificially created in 1926 with the construction of the Green Valley Dam and makes the lake approximately 9 acres (36,000 m2) in size. Fish are regularly stocked from May - August. The lake freezes over the winter.
No open fires are allowed around the lake. BBQ grills are located in the picnic area and can be used when fire restrictions allow.
Fishing is allowed from 5:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily. Locations are on the first come first served basis. On crowded days, fishing may be limited to one pole per person.
Fishing is $20.00 for adults. $10 for children under 16. Trout are the main action here. They are stocked regularly by the Department of Fish & Wildlife and private hatcheries from the Eastern Sierra area. There are also Bass, Catfish, and Crappie in the lake.
The lake record rainbow trout is 13 pounds, 3 ounces.
