Summit OHV Staging Area

This staging area has ample parking, a few unshaded picnic tables, and trash cans.  Forest Road 3N22 south of the staging area is for Red/Green sticker OHV's and High-clearance 4WD vehicles with license plates. 3N22 connects to the Cleghorn Ridge Road 2N47.

NO OHV Camping permitted due to Forest Order 05-12-00-23-05 OCCUPANCY AND USE

Current Conditions
3/15/2025, wood/charcoal fires or barbecues are ONLY allowed in Forest Service provided rings/grills. Gas/Propane appliances are permitted with a valid CA Campfire permit. NOT PERMITTED: ground fires or building of rock-fire-rings anywhere on Southern CA Forests.

General Information

Open year-around

 Must have current registration. You are required by the California Vehicle Code to have a spark arrester, maintained and in effective working order, whenever you are operating your OHV on any forest-covered land, brush-covered land, or grass-covered land.

Adventure Pass

 A Recreation Pass is required, passed honored are the local Adventure Passes (Daily or Annual) and the America the Beautiful Interagency Passes. For more information, please visit our recreation pass page.
