California Campfire Permit is required to have fire in dispersed campsite. Campfire permits can be obtained for free at any Forest Service office or online at www.readyforwildfire.org/permits

Woodcutting Information
Is woodcutting permitted during fire restrictions?
Woodcutting is also impacted by dry weather and conditions. Woodcutting is permissible with a valid permit on a day-to-day basis, depending on the daily fire danger rating, which can be obtained by calling (209) 532-5601 for recorded woodcutting information. You must also abide by the terms of the permit. Fuelwood permits can be obtained at any Forest Service from April 15- December 15. All Fuelwood permits expire December 15. Read more...

Can I burn piles at home?
Homeowners should always check with CAL FIRE and local air quality management agency before burning. All burning must take place on permissive burn days. CAL FIRE burn permit information. Homeowners may also call in to obtain information on burn days by calling:
