Herman Creek Campground/Horse Camp
The forest surrounding the previous campground was found to have laminated root rot. The campground was treated for this destructive-to-conifers fungus, and replanted with native hardwoods. Recreation managers are currently redesigning the campground.
A trailhead for Herman Creek Trail (#406) and the Pacific Crest Trail (#2000) is located in the campground. Trails provide access to the Pacific Crest Trail and Trails #406E, #447, #422, and #437 and the Mark O. Hatfield Wilderness.
