Fish Lake
Ferry Lake is a tranquil 20-acre lake that is off the beaten path, but easily accessed South of Republic via State Route 21 and Forest Road 53 (Scatter Creek). The lake sits at an elevation of 3,329 feet and is planted annually with fry and catchable-size Rainbow Trout. No internal combustion engines are allowed. Ferry Lake Campground and boat launch are located on the lakes eastern shoreline. There is a 4-5 car parking area adjacent to the boat launch. Two-pole fishing is allowed and lake access is good, especially within the campground. To protect breeding common loons, it is unlawful to use lead weights or lead jigs that measure 1.5 inches or less along the longest axis. The lake is typically quiet enough to easily hear ducks and loons calling to each other. Spring to early summer is the best time to fish this secluded and serene location. Swan Lake and Fish Lake are located within a few miles and offer additional fishing opportunities for nice day trip excursions. The nearest location for groceries and fishing supplies is 14 miles away in Republic, Washington.
