Renner Lake
Renner Lake is a beautiful 9.6 acre lake at 2,525’ elevation. Quiet lake with serene views, excellent German brown trout fishing. Access is a one half mile hike on an old closed dirt road. Local anglers say you will find the best fishing in May and June. There is a very primitive boat launch if you are willing to pack in your raft/boat, but remember that internal combustion engines are prohibited by Ferry County ordinance. Bank access to the lake is limited but surrounded by beautiful wetlands and many conifer species.
General Information
Renner Lake is a quiet, rustic and beautiful lake where you’ll have to walk a closed Forest Service (FS) dirt road, 9500730 approximately 0.5 mile to the lake. There are limited options for dispersed camping off the mid-east end of the lake. Picnic tables, tent pads, garbage disposal and vaulted toilets are not provided at this lake. One of the dispersed campsites has a man-made fire ring. Pack it in-pack it out.
Combustible motors are not allowed on Renner Lake. There is a primitive boat launch for your raft/boat, which you will have to pack in on the 0.5-mile hike in. According to Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, the lake is stocked annually with brook trout fry and occasionally with brown trout. Bank access along the northern edge is good until you reach the inlet, wetland meadow on the west end of lake. The southern and eastern shoreline edge access is limited as shrubs are very dense making it almost impossible to meander through. See Figure 17 and 18. Fishing methods include: fly, spin and bait. Two-pole fishing is allowed.
