Cinder Hill Trailhead

This trailhead is located in the center of Cinder Hill Campground and accesses Newberry Crater Trail #3958, which offers access to the Cinder Hill viewpoint. 

Recreation Fee Site: A recreation pass is required. The recreation fee is $5 per vehicle per day or may be covered by the Northwest Forest Pass (annual and day pass). This location is operated by concessionaire.

Getting There

Directions

From Bend, OR: Travel 23.5 miles south on Highway 97 then 17.6 miles east on County Road 21, and 0.5 miles north on Forest Road 2100-700. Cinder Hill is the last campground that you come to on the road beyond Paulina and East Lakes in the Newberry Caldera.
