Horse Camp: Green River

Each campsite is limited to two trailer rigs or three vehicles. There is no potable water here; the closest drinking water is located 5 miles south on Road 26 at the Norway Pass Trailhead

Nearby Trails include Green River Trail #213Goat Mountain Trail #217, Vanson Ridge Trail #213A, and Tumwater Trail #218.

Current Conditions
7/23/25: No campfires. Forest Road 26 will be closed at Mile Post 2.14 from 8/28/25 through 9/23/25. See Active Alert below about road closure due to Huffaker Bridge replacement. Forest Road 26 will not be reachable from the north in 2025 due to replacement of Huffaker Bridge on Forest Road 25 at mile 7.66 within the Cowlitz Valley Ranger District. The road will be closed until November 24th, 2025. Access will only be available via FR 23, FR 76 and FR 99.

Directions

From Randle, WA head south on State Route 131 for 2.7 miles. Continue on Forest Road 25 for 5.9 miles. Turn right on Forest Road 26 and follow for about 11.3 miles. Turn right on Forest Road 2612 and travel about 1.5 miles to Forest Road 2612-027 and turn left.
