Trailhead: Silver Star

Provides access toSilver Star Trail #180 which accesses other trails in the Silver Star area including: Ed's Trail #180A, Chinook Trail #180B, Sturgeon Rock Trail #180C, and Pyramid Rock Trail #180F.

Forest Road 4109 received maintenance in 2025. High clearance vehicles recommended.   

From Battle Ground, Washington drive north on State Route 503 and turn right onto Rock Creek Road. Continue nearly 9 miles to the Moulton Falls County Park. Just past that park, turn right on Sunset Falls Road/Road 42 and continue east 7.3 miles. At the sign for Sunset Campground, turn right on Forest Road 41, which goes through the campground, and then left. After about 3.4 miles, turn right on Forest Road 4109. After about 4.7 miles, go left at an unmarked four-way junction, still on Forest Road 4109. Follow the road uphill to the trailhead. 

Visitors are advised to use the Grouse Vista Trailhead managed by WA Department of Natural Resources. From Battle Ground, Washington drive north on State Route 503 and turn right onto Rock Creek Road. Continue nearly 9 miles to the Moulton Falls County Park. Just past that park, turn right on Sunset Falls Road. After 2.5 miles turn right on 312th Ave/NE Dole Valley Rd.  Turn left onto L-1200 and continue about 5 miles to Grouse Vista Trailhead.
