Little John Sno-Park & Campground
This site is primarily a shared use winter recreation area, but also has a small campground for use in the summer. Information board, warming shelter and a vault toilet are available. Room for 40 vehicles. Trailer parking allowed.
Winter
Our field rangers publish a weekly snow conditions report during the winter.
The snow play hill is limited to inner tubes and sliding discs only. No sleds, toboggans, snowboards, skis, snowmobiles, etc. Please read safety information posted on the information board at the snow play hill. Many serious injuries occur here due to unsafe behavior.
Safety recommendations:
- Adult supervision at all times
- Everyone, but especially children under 12, should wear helmets when enjoying winter sports
- Only one tube on a run at a time
- Walk up the hill on the sides to avoid collisions
Summer
Little John Campground is open for first-come, first-served camping during summer months and is managed by the Forest Service. While use can be heavy in the winter, it's generally less busy during the summer months.
