Olallie Lake Resort

Cabins, yurts, camping, fishing, boating, and hiking available at this beautiful scenic and quiet privately operated resort on Mt. Hood National Forest. 

Please be mindful of the remote nature of the Olallie Lake Scenic Area. There is no cell phone service. Credit cards are not accepted. The roads are rough and there are no gas stations or auto repair shops, so have your gas tank full and come prepared.

The Federal Interagency Senior and Access Pass is accepted for a 50% discount on single-site camping.

  • Motorized boats are not allowed on Olallie Lake.
  • No swimming is allowed in Olallie Lake. However, Head Lake is nearby (within 5 minutes of the store) and has a dock, large rocks to sit on, and is a wonderful swimming lake.
  • All dogs must be kept on a leash. Well-behaved dogs are allowed at the resort, but if your dog likes to bark or is threatening, then please board your dog. Do not leave dog unattended in the cabins or yurts.
  • No exotic pets are allowed.

Getting There

Directions

Closed and snowed out in winter months.

From Estacada, OR - Take Hwy 224, which turns into FR 46, to Ripplebrook Store. Continue about 22 miles and then turn left onto 4690. In about 9 miles turn right onto 4220 (at the gate) and continue 5 miles to the resort.

From Portland, OR - Take Hwy 26 to FR 42 (Timothy Lake/Skyline Rd turnoff). Continue on FR 42 for 18 miles on a two-lane road, when it will then turn into a one-land road. Continue on FR 42 (single lane) for about 4.5 miles and turn left onto FR 4220. Continue 3 miles on paved FR 4220 and then 4 miles on gravel FR 4220 to the Olallie gate. Continue 5 more miles on FR 4220 to the resort. (From Portland, you can take I-84 E to Hwy 26, or Hwy 224 to Hwy 212 to Hwy 26.)
