Timberline Summit Pass Ski Area
Timberline's Summit Pass (formerly known as Summit Ski Area) operates under a special use permit with the Mt. Hood National Forest.
Summit Pass is the second oldest continuously operating ski area in the U.S., dating to 1927. In the center of Government Camp, Summit Pass is known for its tubing hill and is also a popular place to learn to ski, snowboard and snowshoe. With one chairlift, Summit is a smaller alternative to other ski areas nearby on Mt. Hood.
