Pyramid Lake Trail #727

This short trail enters the Roaring River Wilderness. This trail travels through mature forest with opportunities to see large game. The trail begins at Forest Road 5800-140 (3,800’) and ends at Pyramid Lake (3,980’). From Forest Road 5830-140, the trails heads south through several meadows. The trail continues at the far side of the first meadow which is wet year round. There is no camping available along this trail.

Directions

From Portland, OR - Travel east on US Hwy 26 to Sandy. Turn right (southwest) on OR Hwy 211 and travel 6.1 miles to OR Hwy 224. Turn left (southeast) on OR Hwy 224 and travel 30.2 miles to Oak Grove Fork Road (Forest Road 57) at approximately milepost 50. Turn left (east) on Oak Grove Fork Road and travel 7.4 miles to High Rock Road (Forest Road 58). Follow High Rock Road for 5 miles to Forest Road 5800-140. Take the left fork onto Forest Road 5800-140 and travel 1.5 miles to a parking area for the trailhead at the end of the road.
