Chatter Creek Trailhead
Provides access to Chatter Creek Trail #1580 within Alpine Lakes Wilderness. This trail is not recommended for horse travel.
Current Conditions
WARNING: To those planning to hike a loop out through Frosty Pass and Icicle Creek Trail -- The bridge over French Creek 1.5 miles up Icicle Creek Trail #1551 is broken due to damage from heavy winter snowpack and is unsafe to cross. There is no way to ford the creek due to high water. No access beyond bridge on Icicle Creek Trail. It is not known when bridge will be replaced.

- Wilderness Permit Required: To enter the Alpine Lakes Wilderness, visitors need to fill out a free permit at the trailhead.

Directions
From Leavenworth, turn onto Icicle Road (Forest Road 7600), and follow for about 15 miles to the trailhead. The trailhead will be on the right, just before the Chatter Creek Guard Station and Campground.
