Ruffed Grouse Campground
This forested campground is located along Eightmile Creek. Small campground is good for small group camping. Maximum length of site is 35 feet.
Enjoy scenic drives or nearby trails such as the beautiful but challenging Copper Glance Trail #519, or travel to the end of the 8 Mile Road to access Hidden Lakes Trail #477 or Larch Creek Trail #502, both of which lead deep into the Pasayten Wilderness.
Reservations
This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site.
General Information
(2 vehicles per site maximum) 2 tents or 1 RV and 1 tent maximum per site.
50% discount for single site camping with any of these passes: Interagency Senior, Interagency Access, Golden Age, or Golden Access. Applies to fee for site occupied by the pass holder.
Overnight Use:
Single Site: $15 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $5 per vehicle per night

Directions
From Winthrop, travel 8 miles north on West Chewuch Road (County Road 1213) to Eightmile Road (Forest Service Road 5130). On Eightmile Road #5130 drive 7 miles northwest along Eightmile Creek to Ruffed Grouse Campground on the left.
