Salmon La Sac Campground

This popular campground is located between the Cle Elum and Cooper Rivers and offers 69 sites for both tent and RV camping. Some sites pull through for larger vehicles. It's a prime location for hiking, fishing, swimming, and mountain biking in summer and early fall. 

Approximately 40 of the sites are reservable, and the rest are first come, first serve. 

Bears are commonly seen in this area, be sure to store your food/smellable items properly.

Overnight Use:
Single Site: $27 per night
Double Site: $45 per night
Additional Vehicle Fee: $11 per vehicle per night

  • Extra vehicle is defined as any vehicle (motorhome, trailer, or passenger vehicle) that is not towed in with the first vehicle.
  • If primary vehicle fills the parking pad, no additional vehicles will be allowed.

From Cle Elum, travel north on Highway 903 / Salmon La Sac Road for 19 miles. Pass Cayuse Horse Camp and the old Cle Elum Guard Station on the right. Stay left at the verge between Salmon La Sac and the steep gravel road to Tucquala. Then, when you see the entrance sign to the campground, take a left to enter the campground. If you veer right here, a gravel road takes you to the Salmon La Sac trailhead.
