Mt. Zion/Sleepy Hollow Trailhead

Provides access to: Mt Zion Trail #836 & Sleepy Hollow Trail #852.

Mt Zion Trail #836 offers viewpoints from the top of Mt. Baker, Mt. Rainier and Cascades. Hiking, backpacking and horseback riding are available. The 8.3 mile Sleepy Hollow Trail leads through a conifer forest from the trailhead and ends at Gold Creek Trail #830.

General Information

Recreation Passes honored for day use: Digital Pass, Northwest Forest Pass, and Interagency Recreation Passes. Get a pass.

Day Use:
$5 per vehicle per day
$30 per annual

Day use fee payment options: Scan & Pay or a valid Recreation Pass.  The Olympic National Forest has gone primarily cashless. Cash is not accepted on site.

*Suggestion: Download the recreation.gov app before your trip to have the ability to scan & pay digitally on-site.

Directions

From Quilcene, WA, travel north on Highway 101 for about 1.5 miles, then take the Lords Lake Road for 3.4 miles to the lake and turn left onto Forest Service Road 28. Continue on Forest Service Road 28 to Bon Jon Pass. Stay right at Bon Jon Pass, drive approximately two miles to trailhead.
