Whispering Spruce Trail #1305

Perched 800 feet above the Pacific Ocean, the Whispering Spruce Trail winds 750 feet to a historic rock viewing shelter built in 1934 by the Civilian Conservation Corps. Along the quarter mile loop from the parking area, this trail provides exceptional views of the Oregon coastline and forest. Relax on a bench and enjoy the dramatic views to the ocean below, just 100 feet from the parking area. From the bench, the trail winds through forest with coastal overlooks, From the Cape Perpetua Day Use hike there via the Saint Perpetua Trail or drive the two mile road to the top.
